St Lawrence Gap

St. Lawrence Gap, a 1.3 km stretch of road in the parish of Christ Church, It’s a nightlife centre of Barbados and is famous for its fine restaurants, diverse accommodation, lively nightclubs and bars as well as good shopping. Here you will also find street vendors selling a variety of goods from souvenirs through to fast food, and there is always a good mix of tourists and locals wandering around taking in the atmosphere. The area was upgraded in recent years as part of the government’s Urban Renewal and Development programme. Upgrades included a new boardwalk, street lighting, road paving and re-development of the Dover Beach area. ‘The Gap’, as it is widely known, is a place where various cultures meet and merge, so it’s a great experience.
