Barbados On A Budget
You have seen the snappers photographs – the Barbados ‘season’ is going fast forward again, dripping with stars and leathery entrepreneurs dropping the kind of vacation money we’d spend in a year on 2 nights at the famous Sandy Lane hotel.
But back in reality, Barbados is a comprehensive nick. For one thing, the Bajan dollar is attached to the U.S. Greenback ( $1 = BDS$2 ), so it’s less expensive than it’s been for years. The island is also studded with brilliant inexpensive BBs, guesthouses, threestar hotels and reasonable restaurants – and in Barbados, there is no such thing as a personal beach ( it’s against the law ), so you can park your towel anywhere.
And another thing – Barbados doesn’t truly get a rainy season.
