Golf

West coast and south west of the island offers some great golf courses. There are several established ones, and few more under development. Some of the fantastic golf courses are frequently visited by golf professionals such as Tiger Woods. In 2006, Barbados held World Golf Championships World Cup at one of the Sandy Lane courses. The Royal Westmoreland course is a regular host of a PGA European Tour Seniors tournament. So the island can be truly considered as a golfing destination. There is something for everyone as Barbados golf courses tend to appeal to the recreational golfers as well as hard-core professionals.
