Kendall Sporting Barbados

A must visit whilst staying in Barbados is Kendall Sporting every Barbados holiday I make sure I have a morning or afternoon there. I usually start with some clay pigeon shooting and then over to the indoor hand gun range to release some stress.

The sporting facility is set in 70 acres of beautiful unspoiled land and I must say it has a warm and friendly Country Club atmosphere. When speaking to the staff there they send they have been open since December 1999. It also seems to be a great place for functions, staff team building activities, wedding receptions (shot gun wedding joke), parties and many more social gatherings.

I would say that Kendall Sports must be the leading place to visit whilst in Barbados for gun sports and similar activities. As it has shot gun ranges, indoor and outdoor pistol ranges and I must say the instructors are always helpful, friendly and professional. Year ago I could not even shoot a gun and now with the free tips from the instructors  I am not a bad shot, my wife is better which worries me!

This is an amazing venue for visitors and great for any beginners to the sport as the range instructors will teach and provide all equipment needed to learn and I must say it is super value too. If you are lucky enough to be in Barbados for a hen or stag event also available is paintballing with a ready made arena set up ready to go, but I would advise to book for paintball or if visiting at the weekend.

Opening hours for Kendall Sports is Tuesday to Sunday 10.30am to 5.00pm (Paintball can go onto 8pm) and note they are closed Mondays. The restaurant “The Flying Rabbit” on site is also excellent as I always work up an appetite with all the adrenaline of shooting guns, must be a British thing as we are not used to shooting hand guns.

The Flying Rabbit is situated in the main clubhouse and there beautiful lunch and dinner menus has something to suit all. It is very relaxing in the beautiful grounds and there is even a swimming pool to cool down with a dip. Tables are available inside and outside and there is an amazing horse shoe shaped bar to have a cold one (Banks beer is amazing). The restaurant is open Tuesday through to Sunday 11am to 4pm and 6.30pm to 9.15pm Friday nights only.

Apart from the shooting at Kendall this is list of other activities available: Darts, dominoes, table tennis, pool, chess, chequers, cricket, football, fuze ball, cards and swimming.
